edgeBOX™ recognized for innovative feature set for SMB customers

FAIRFIELD, NJ, February 13, 2008 – Critical Links, a global provider of converged ICT (information and communications technology) solutions, announced today that its edgeBOX™ office-in-a-box appliance has earned a “Best of Show” Award in the category of Best SMB Solution at Technology Marketing Corporation’s (TMC®) INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference and EXPO East 2008. The Best of Show Awards recognize the most impressive and innovative technologies at the show, which took place January 23-25, 2008 in Miami.

Critical Links’ edgeBOX™ is a multi-function business gateway appliance that can replace up to 8 specialized hardware and software solutions with a single integrated device, which enables SMBs to consolidate their voice, data and IT services, dramatically reduce complexity and lower deployment costs. The edgeBOX™ provides SMB customers with a complete and secure networking infrastructure that is simple to install and configure, easy to maintain and upgrade and can be managed remotely. Customers can leverage edgeBOX™ services ranging from VOIP, IP-PBX, VPNs, security, NAC and QoS as well as web server, e-mail server and data storage. It is available on a range of scalable and fault-tolerant platforms that support up to 300 users.

“Buyers, developers, resellers and service providers flock to INTERNET TELEPHONY® Conference & EXPO to see the latest innovative products for the IP market, and this time around it was clear that Critical Links’ edgeBOX™ was demanding attention,” said TMC President and Conference Chairman, Rich Tehrani. “The product’s ability to consolidate and simplify networking resources make it very attractive to SMBs, which is why we felt that it deserved a Best of Show Award in this category. The presence of such products at the conference is why so many depend on this event twice a year.”

Best of Show Awards were determined by a panel of judges who visited with exhibitors at INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO, viewed their product demos, and interviewed company staff. Considerations for the awards include creative product feature sets and presentation to attendees at the conference. A full list of the winners appears on the TMC Web site at http://www.tmcnet.com/news/2008/02/01/3244325.htm and will be published in the March 2008 issue of INTERNET TELEPHONY® magazine.

“Critical Links is honored that the edgeBOX™ has earned the Best of Show Award at the INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference and EXPO East 2008,” said Abdul Kasim, vice president, Marketing and Business Development, Critical Links. “To be so recognized continues to validate the appeal of the edgeBOX™ and its distinctly compelling value proposition to the SMB community”.

The edgeBOX™ is delivered to SMBs around the globe through the Critical Links network of resellers, service providers and OEMs. Hundreds of edgeBOXes™ are deployed all over the world and are currently supporting thousands of users.
